Napoli speaks on Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea move

Whilst Antonio Conte hasn't officially been relieved of his duties, it seems a matter of time before the Italian is sacked, with Sarri taking over.

News from multiple sources, including in the Express today claim that ex-Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is set to be unveiled as Antonio Conte's successor within the next 48 hours.

He's made quite a name for himself at Napoli, with his exciting style of football almost earning the Neapolitans their first Serie A title since the Diego Maradona era.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how incoming Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri reportedly informed the Blues chiefs to make Argentina worldwide Gonzalo Higuain their first signing.

And it turns out he's prepared to take some pretty extreme measures upon his arrival.

The Mirror reports that the prospective new Chelsea manager even plans to live at the club's training base at Cobham in Surrey.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are yet to buy or sell any player this summer as the Blues will kick off their 2018/19 Premier League campaign against Huddersfield Town.

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, who worked with Sarri for two seasons at Empoli, could be the first player to join in a £25m deal.

There has also been talk of a huge £100m deal for Robert Lewandowski, but the club may be wary to spend that big after his performances at the World Cup.
