2nd suspect arrested in slaying of rapper XXXTentacion

Another arrest has been made in connection to the murder of rapper XXXTentacion in Deerfield Beach.

Michael Boatwright, 22, is facing first-degree murder charges in the killing, the Broward Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Detectives are calling Boatwright a gunman in XXX's murder and are still looking for an additional gunman. The other gunman remains at large. At least one of the men fired a gun, striking Onfroy. Both fled in a dark-colored SUV, deputies said.

The rapper was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

A 22-year-old man has been served with an arrest warrant for the murder of rapper XXXTentacion. His exact role in the shooting has not been publicly released.

The newspaper reports that police suspect Boatwright is one of the gunmen who actually pulled the trigger and shot XXXTentacion.

According to his arrest warrant, police believe Williams was behind the wheel of the SUV that blocked XXXTentacion from leaving his parking spot at RIVA Motorsports. He was already on probation until April 2019 on battery and drug charges.
