Thai football team rescue celebrated in the Dutch media

They were discovered by a team of British divers on Monday, prompting an urgent, meticulously-planned rescue operation.

The eight boys who've been rescued so far have all swum out of the cave, each escorted by two expert divers. Tuesday, referring to the name of the trapped boys' soccer team.

But a person with knowledge of the rescue said just before the twelfth person was spotted, that in all, 11 of the 13 had been brought out.

The rescue process started at 10am local time on Sunday and involved 13 worldwide divers and five Thai navy seals, who were referred to as "an all-star team" by NarongsakOsatanakorn, who is the Governor of Chiang Rai province and head of the joint command centre coordinating the rescue.

The remaining four boys and their 25-year-old coach remain in the cave, with highly-anticipated rescue efforts underway.

It could be at least seven days before they can be released from hospital, Jedsada said.

Rescuers have been pumping out flood waters but scattered monsoon rain has raised the danger of more water percolating back down through the limestone and coursing through the tunnels.

James McClean 'refuses to attend' West Brom's preseason training camp
McClean, who joined West Brom from Wigan Athletic three years ago, has made almost 100 appearances for the club since his arrival. Championship side West Brom are "looking good" to sign former Leeds United defender Kyle Bartley from Swansea City .

They wore face masks and were tied to buddy divers who carried their oxygen tanks, guiding them through more than two kilometres of narrow, dark corridors using torches and guide ropes. In footage captured by the BBC, families of the boys were seen hugging in front of television screens in their homes, as residents in the nearby city of Chiang Rai lined the streets, clapping and taking videos of the ambulances carrying the last few boys to Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital.

Officials are hoping that the final phase of the rescue can be completed in four or five hours, Narongsak said, according to Thai Public Broadcasting.

Two of the boys are thought to have lung infections, but there are no serious complaints to report. The boys who were initially rescued asked for basil fried rice, but doctors are instead feeding them soft foods like Congee, a Chinese rice porridge. This now brings the total number of rescued boys to eight.

Musk, the billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Inc., vowed to help rescue efforts by designing a mini-submarine that could navigate through the cave's tight canals.

"Mini-sub is ready if needed".

The boys and their coach, all from the "Wild Boars" soccer team, became trapped by rainy season floodwater on June 23rd when they had set out to explore the vast cave complex after soccer practice.
