Rangers hopeful of signing Umar Sadiq before Europa League clash

Sadiq has had spells at Bologna, Torino and NAC Breda in recent years and will leave the Stadio Olimpico on a temporary basis once again to join the Light Blues' attack this term.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has suggested that his team are nearing a deal for Roma forward Sadiq Umar.

The young defender enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season with the Royals during the 2015/16 campaign, making 24 appearances, scoring twice and forming an effective centre-back partnership with club captain Paul McShane.

Coulibaly is excited to play under Gerrard but admitted he was not sure if it was a joke or not.

The fans already seem to have given him an interesting nickname but I'll let you discover that for yourselves, I couldn't possible repeat the intimation here!

"When my agent said that Gerrard is the head coach, I said, OK, no problem, and then I was happy to come and join this team".

European Council president warns Trump about lack of U.S. allies
Last month, the president even wrote letters to a handful of European countries, urging them to up their defense commitments. In a second tweet , the president wrote: "NATO countries must pay MORE, the United States must pay LESS".

"In Nigeria we do follow the English Premier League but also the Scottish Premiership".

"In football you never know what is going to happen but hard work pays and with the work I am going to do here I think I will be successful". "I knew about Rangers because everybody knows about them".

Coulibaly, a Mali global, could still be added to Gerrard's Europa League squad with Gers set to begin their qualifying campaign on Thursday night against Macedonian side Shkupi.

Speaking to RangersTV Sadiq - whose deal is subject to global clearance and who claimed that, "in Nigeria I am compared to the legend Kanu and Emmanuel Adebayor" - said: "It is very good to be here, it has been good so far and I can't wait to start".

Allan McGregor, Jon Flanagan, Scott Arfield, Jamie Murphy, Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Ovie Ejaria all joined earlier in the window.
