Mahrez completes long-awaited Manchester City move

Mahrez scored 13 goals in 41 appearances for Leicester last season and will become City's record signing ahead of defender Aymeric Laporte, who signed from Athletic Bilbao for £57m in January if the deal happens.

The midfielder who has been unsettled at Leicester following failed moves last season is now undergoing medicals at City.

Manchester City confirmed the signing of Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old, who joins for a club-record £60m, has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium.

City were left furious when Leicester set a price tag of £90m which saw City pull out of the deal at the start of the year.

And Txiki Begiristain, City's director of football, says he is delighted to have finally captured one of the best players in the English top flight.

The agency is reviewing products containing valsartan supplied by Zhejiang Huahai Pharmaceuticals, a company in Linhai, China. The HPRA says not all valsartan medicines are affected and is reassuring patients that other treatments are available.

'Watching them from afar has been a pleasure.

"Over the past few years, he has established himself as one of the Premier League's most exciting players. Pep is committed to playing attacking football, which is a ideal for me, and City's performances last season were outstanding", he said on the club's official website.

Mahrez helped Leicester to a shock league title, and then played a major role in the club reaching the Champions League quarterfinals the following season.

Mahrez has been linked with a move away from Leicester ever since their remarkable 2015-16 Premier League title win, scoring 12 goals and registering 11 assists in the most recent campaign.

'I think we can be successful over the coming years and I believe my own game can develop under Pep's management'.

Manchester City have also been linked with Napoli midfielder Jorginho, with the Italy global reportedly left out of their pre-season training camp squad.
