DJI Mavic Pro II

DJI Mavic Pro II

Amidst the news of the DJI Launch Event being postponed from its original 18th July date (confirmed by DroneValley earlier today), this photo may bring some hope to those that were still pondering the topic of the event.

A closer look at the alleged DJI Mavic 2 photo revealed that it looked like a sleeker and more aerodynamic DJI Mavic Pro.

Now a newly leaked picture seems to corroborate the story, with a drone bearing the name Mavic 2 on it. And given DJI's sell for its postponed event mentioned "the bigger picture", it seems logical that the other key addition could be a wide-angle lens.

DJI is, of course, still far and away the market leader for consumer drones, and its Mavic line has gone a long way toward helping mainstream the product for consumers.

Fans of the "quiet" propellers that were in the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum will be disappointed with this new drone. The first one, which may be the 1-inch sensor, is mounted on the drone in gray. But take note, the image appears to show another gimbal assembly alongside the drone, suggesting the cameras would be designed by DJI, thereby limiting the choice of camera you could attach to the machine. And whether or not the Mavic 2 would represent a good deal would depend on whether or not the price is comparable to the $999 you pay for a Mavic Pro. The latter is located on the table and could be the one that will help "See the Bigger Picture" as the teaser to the Mavic Pro II says.

Croatia explodes with joy as team reaches World Cup semis
He hopes England will be more suited to their style of play, but added that recovering from two extended games will be hard . Cherchesov and his men got fans to believe in them after they outclassed Egypt 3-1 in the second Group A game.

The most interesting likely improvement: a modular camera you could swap out to change your gimbal, sensor and perhaps even the camera's field of view.

If the DJI Mavic 2 leak shows an accurate image, there are still some remaining questions about the next DJI drone.

The Mavic 2 might also be helpful for budding aerial cinematographers.

A new date for that event hasn't been set and word was that it was pushed back due to the tech in the drone not quite being ready for primetime.
