Cristiano Ronaldo ends 9-year Madrid reign, joins Juventus

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard hints that it is still his "dream" to play for Real Madrid despite the departure of Zinedine Zidane, but insists that he is content at Chelsea.

That leaves another Premier League star in Eden Hazard as a mentioned option, though his already sky-high value will only grow larger if Belgium prevail in Russian Federation.

Manu de Juan of AS recently reported the former Lille man is on a shortlist of players who could replace Cristiano Ronaldo if he were to move to Juventus.

The deal has also seen a spike in social media activity.

But despite Zidane having been replaced by Julen Lopetegui, Hazard told beIN SPORTS his thinking had not really changed.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have dropped their interest in French starlet Kylian Mbappe and won't be pursuing him this summer. Subsequently, Hazard sent a number of Chelsea fans into a anxious frenzy with his statements.

'Real Madrid will always be Ronaldo's home': Club statement
Ronaldo has been the competition's top scorer for the past six years, having had scored the most goals in a single campaign (17). He added that the loss of Zinedine Zidane, who has been replaced by Julen Lopetegui at Real, doesn't change the club's appeal.

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard is now in Russian Federation for the 2018 World Cup where he will face France in the semifinal game on Tuesday night, July 10.

"I know him well, I know that when he makes a decision, he does so knowing all the consequences".

"Zidane or no Zidane, the white jersey (of Madrid) is unique, but the blue sweater (of Chelsea) suits me well, so it does not bother me if I stay".

With six goals so far at the World Cup, Kane looks a dead cert to take home a golden boot, and after over 100 Premier League goals in just five seasons, he is said to be an "excellent replacement".

"The time has come to open a new stage in my life, that's why I asked the club to accept transferring me", the 33-year old said in a statement. The competition ends this weekend, which is when activity can be expected in the transfer window. He later played down the comment, but doubts over his future at Madrid lingered, especially after he had also threatened to leave the previous year.
