Cardi B Files $15 million Suit Against Estranged Manager

Her legal team have also stated that Raphael's companies, KSR and WorldStar, failed to give Cardi B a full accounting of her funds.

The 25 year old rapper claims that Raphael was controlling in ways that went far beyond what was appropriate for a professional manager, allegedly putting up "barriers between her and people close to her in an effort to maintain complete control over her".

Superstar rapper Cardi B has launched a counter-lawsuit against her former manager, whom she claims was "disloyal and deceitful" and even tried to control her romantic life.

Raphael previously claimed he taught the star everything she knows about entertainment and helped her make the step up from being a stripping Instagram wannabe.

The counterclaim, filed by Almanzar, (minus Foster, Quality Control Management, Lee and Thomas), denies nearly all but the basic allegations, acknowledging that Foster is indeed her publicist, for example, or that she did indeed sign a management contract and recording contract with Raphael and his company WorldStar.

He attempted "to control her personal life, telling her who she should and should not see romantically".

Concise News reported that Shaft had in April filed a lawsuit against the rapper, accusing her of breach of contract, declaratory judgment, unjust enrichment and defamation demanding $10,000,000 in damages. This is the same record label that signed rap group the Migos, of which her husband Offset (real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus) is a member.

Cardi B is now one of the hottest hip-hop artists with the success of her smash hit "Bodak Yellow" previous year. Shaft named both men in the suit, in addition to Patientce Foster, who's Cardi B's publicist/stylist, according to Variety.
