Plane crashes outside South Africa’s Pretoria, at least 19 injured

"Seen on Sunday morning at Pretoria's Wonderboom Airport‚ ex Rovos Air Convair 340 ZS-BRV".

The aircraft was headed to the Wonderboom airport.

"There is smoke all over and paramedics are on the scene".

Emergency services said they were attending to "multiple" patients at the scene of the crash.

"There are critical patients‚" Loubser said.

Once treated, the patients will be transported, as well as airlifted by the ER24 medical helicopter, to nearby hospitals.

'We have 19 injured casualties ranging from minor to critical injuries at this stage and no confirmed fatalities'.

'They are busy treating one of the pilots. and he will be airlifted to a Netcare hospital, ' he said.

Meanwhile, The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) says investigators are on their way to the scene.
