'IHOb' Is Already Back to Calling Itself IHOP Again

The International House of Pancakes is once more all about the flapjacks.

Turkel Brands President Bruce Turkel discusses how IHOP is temporarily changing its name to IHOb.

The pancake giant is offering short stacks for 60 cents on July 17, 2018 from 7am to 7pm nationwide.

We've been fooled! IHOP announced on its Facebook page Monday that it "faked" the IHOb name change to promote its new burgers.

Sweet 16 for Roger Federer at Wimbledon
Federer remains unbroken in the tournament in reaching the last eight and has a very kind draw through to the showpiece final. Elsewhere, Milos Raonic beat Mackenzie McDonald in four sets to reach the quarter-finals for the third year in a row.

The change drew massive backlash on social media with some calling the move an "epic failure".

Heartbroken Twitter users expressed their confusion, but as IHOP said in a tweet, "We just had some burgers to bromote". "And it worked. Look at us, two silly pancakes talkin' about burgers", they explained of their nearly-one-month marketing stunt. "That's right, IHOP! We'd never turn our back on pancakes (except for that time we faked it to promote our new burgers)", the chain said. Afterward, that figure increased to 30%, the highest score since late 2012.

The IHOb name change was never meant to be permanent.
