George Clooney reportedly hurt in motorcycle crash in Italy

According to the authorities, Clooney's scooter collided with the vehicle.

A photo published on La Nuova Sardegna website shows a black scooter on one side of the road, with a dark blue estate auto facing the other way, at an angle across the central reserve.

George Clooney was hospitalized and released shortly after following an accident in Italy, where he's been filming his new TV series Catch 22.

Clooney, 57, was riding the bike at Costa Corallina on the island of Sardinia when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle, according to Italy's TGR Rai Sardegna.

The actor was reportedly taken to the emergency room of the John Paul II (Giovanni Paolo II) hospital, which is in Olbia, Sardinia. He apparently sustained injuries to his pelvis and had bruises, but his injuries were not serious.

He was joined by wife Amal Clooney and it has been reported that the pair left the hospital together in a private vehicle.

Boris Johnson resigns as British foreign secretary
What is most disturbing, he said, is that the unacceptable plan laid out by May is the country's " opening bid ". Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has been named as Mr Johnson's replacement as foreign secretary.

Clooney, 57, plays US Air Force commander Scheisskopf in the World War Two Channel 4 drama, based on Joseph Heller's classic novel. The series is being produced for Hulu.

Clooney was pictured stepping off a private jet with wife Amal and twins, Alexander and Ella, near the end of last month.

Even earlier in June, Clooney was seen zipping around the island on a scooter with Amal, 40, hugging him tightly. It's unclear when George will return to filming.

It was from that moment George made it his mission to land Amal, later taking her on their first date at a plush London restaurant.

Sardinia is a large Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea and is over 500 miles from Clooney's villa in Lake Como.
