Ex Arsenal star Emmanuel Eboue reportedly arrested

Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue has been arrested by the North London police on arson claims which aren't yet to fully understand. "He was taken to a north London police station for questioning".

Metropolitan Police would not confirm the name of the man arrested in the case but said in a statement that he would only face further enquiries in relation to "malicious communications" and not arson.

According to the Mirror, The 35-year-old is now being held in a police station in north London after he was detained outside a home in Enfield.

Friends are understood to be concerned for the former full-back's mental and emotional state. In December, Eboue spoke of how divorce from his former partner Auriele had left him broke and unable to see his three kids and being so strapped for cash that he was living on a friend's couch, he couldn't afford a washing machine and was avoiding bailiffs.

Modric reveals Croatia biggest concern ahead of England clash
Croatia Coach Zlatko Dalic has identified Raheem Sterling as England's danger man in the World Cup semi-final on Wednesday. If you want to know how England can beat Croatia , first I have to take you into the heart of the French midfield.

On Sunday evening a Scotland Yard spokesman added: "He has since been released with no further action in respect of the arson allegation".

Having represented Arsenal 214 times between 2004-2011 - he has now been a free agent since leaving Sunderland in 2016.

Eboue appeared to have been thrown a lifeline last month when he was invited to play for the Gunners' legends side at the Bernabeu in Spain.

Emmanuel Eboue became bankrupt after acrimonious divorce with his wife which saw the Ivory worldwide left with nothing and he even previous year confirmed that he had nowhere to stay anymore, that he had started sleeping at friend's places.
