Condition of man hospitalized in poisoning improves


Dawn Sturgess, 44, died in hospital at the weekend and her partner Charlie Rowley remains critically ill in hospital.

Yulia Skripal was discharged from hospital in April and her father was discharged in May.

The family thanked the "wonderful doctors" who cared for Sturgess, giving her "every possible chance of survival and treated her with the utmost care and dignity", the local community for their support, and police.

"It was subsequently taken to DSTL and following further scientific advice, the investigation team also carried out forensic enquiries on the bus as they look to establish the point at which Dawn and Charlie were contaminated with the nerve agent".

Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson has blamed Russian Federation for committing "an attack on British soil" over the latest poisonings.

Mr Williamson went one stage further and said: 'The simple reality is that Russian Federation has committed an attack on British soil which has seen the death of a British citizen.
