Jay Z, Beyonce to perform at #GlobalCitizenFestivalSA

Queen B and JAY-Z will be headlining the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100.

"One of the key things we are trying to galvanise is that sense of renewal and the excitement around getting involved and engaging with communities around issues that we can bring to an end‚ such as poverty", organisers said.

The festival will also feature some of the continent's most popular musicians including South African hip-hop producer Cassper Nyovest and Nigerian artists Wizkid, D'banj and Femi Kuti, who is the son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.

The Global Citizen is a movement that focuses on poverty and aims to end world poverty by 2030. It will take place in a number of countries across the world and aims to spread the message and ethos of the Global Citizen.
