FG Declares Friday, Monday Public Holidays To Mark Eid-El-Fitr

The ministry has approved the holidays from June 15 to June 18, a notification regarding which has been released on Friday. In short, it's not the news we were hoping for. "Therefore, tomorrow we will be sure to know if Thursday will be the last day of Ramadan or Friday", Al Rahbi told the Times of Oman. If you've already booked an Eid getaway, you'll be working with some annual leave.

However, school children in Dubai will be off from Thursday to Sunday for Eid regardless, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority said on Tuesday.

Eid al-Fitr means new beginnings and it is considered auspicious to eat something sweet in order to kick-start the holy day; hence the name Meethi Eid.

Rafael Nadal vs Dominic Thiem: French Open final preview and prediction
Nadal, in an on-court interview, also said he's sure that runner-up Thiem will win the tournament in "the next couple of years". Nadal then served out that game. "Just thinking in a positive way and just thinking that I have to hold".

A statement released by the Ministry says the holiday is to mark the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr across the country.

It also involves shorter working hours - usually two hours for the private sector.

Like millions of Muslims around the world, Indian devotees celebrate the month of Ramadan, the solemn period of reassessment by abstaining from eating, drinking, and other activities from dawn to dusk.
