Cristiano Ronaldo admits that with the rise of Mo Salah, the Ballon d'Or is no longer a two-horse race between himself and Lionel Messi.

Salah enjoyed a stunning debut season at Anfield, scooping the Premier League Golden Boot en route to netting 44 goals in all competitions.

Diario Gol add that Salah isn't interesting in heading to Real Madrid in the coming weeks.

When asked if he will leave Liverpool, Salah told Egyptian TV channel ON ENT: "All that I can say is that I'm happy to be here and I've adapted to the prevailing atmosphere".

The Reds forward was forced off in the first half of Liverpool FC's 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev.

MPs force major soft Brexit shift
They believe that if there is no Brexit deal by the end of November, the government must clear its next course of action with MPs. Ukip leader Gerard Batten said: "The only "meaningful vote" was the verdict of the people in referendum of 23rd June 2016".

Lopetegui considers the Argentina team "an extraordinary squad with extraordinary players" and, according to him, are one of the teams which have a genuine chance of winning the World Cup.

Portugal share Group B with Morocco and Iran, but face their toughest test in their opening game against Spain on Friday in the evening kick-off.

"To win the World Cup would be a dream for Portugal but to do it we have to play the same way we did in Euro 2016, as a team and all together".

FC Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has warned his Spain teammates about the danger Cristiano Ronaldo poses ahead of their 2018 FIFA World Cup clash with Portugal this week.

"It's perfectly normal, however Portugal were the champions of Europe because of the group, not its individuals".
