Anthony Bourdain’s Girlfriend, Asia Argento, Speaks Out About His Death

Anthony Bourdain’s Girlfriend, Asia Argento, Speaks Out About His Death

Jason Wang, CEO of Xi'an Famous Foods in NY, planned to donate profits at all its locations on Friday to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Telegram food columnist Cynthia Stone reacted in her column.

Bourdain, a celebrity chef and food writer, and Spade, a designer, both died by apparent suicide last week.

Julio Peterson said he would see Bourdain around the neighborhood. In 2007, Bourdain endorsed the Wangs' basement food stall, which served lamb noodle soup with hand-ripped noodles on "No Reservations". U.S. President Barack Obama famously appeared on an episode in Vietnam in 2016, during his final months in office. His father prepared off-the-menu dishes for Bourdain, hoping to impress him - and it worked. "That was some good food", Bourdain said of his bean supper in 2010.

In a Facebook post, Wang said Bourdain's impact on his family's Chinese street food business was immeasurable. "I looked at him in the eyes and said, this is something we will always be thankful for, Tony". Btw, just recently I have published the article in Le Monde called "Azerbaijani regime kidnaps and kills anyone it dislikes" and few days later this guy is gone by "suicide". She said celebrity suicides also typically prompt an increase in calls to suicide help lines.

Anthony's death was a shock to many who knew him.

Mental health problems, often undiagnosed, are usually involved and experts say knowing warning signs and who is at risk can help stop a crisis from becoming a tragedy.

Rest in peace to the revered chef, journalist, and cultural reporter.

Wang told BuzzFeed News that he estimated the donation amount could reach $60,000.

The world got a little less interesting today, with the sad news that celebrated chef and author Anthony Bourdain took his own life, at the age of 61. System Of A Down's Serj Tankian, the Armenian-American rock star, was Bourdain's guide during the visit.

CNN confirmed the death, saying in a statement that Bourdain was found unresponsive Friday morning by friend and chef Eric Ripert in Strasbourg.

Bourdain lived in Manhattan, not far from CNN's studio.

His best-selling 2000 book "Kitchen Confidential" introduced readers to the workers toiling anonymously behind the scenes in American restaurants, many of whom are Spanish-speaking immigrants.

Argento and Bourdain were seen together apparently happy as recent as two weeks ago, but questions about their relationship had emerged after Argento was pictured walking around Rome with journalist Hugo Clement on Monday.
