Amazon Prime rolls out new Whole Foods discount in North Carolina stores

Amazon has expanded its Prime member savings at Whole Foods Market to an additional 10 states.

Amazon has announced that discounts for Prime members at Whole Foods Market will roll out across ten more states on Wednesday.

A few of the new discounts launching on June 13 include a "buy one get one free" deal on Annie's Natural Macaroni and Cheese, along with Organic yellow nectarines and peaches for $1.99 a pound.

The tech giant's announcement comes days before it plans to open its highly anticipated Charlotte store on Stonewall Street uptown.

According to the Irish Times, gardai are taking handwriting samples from passengers to try and establish who is behind the note. United said in a statement that the landing was due to "a potential security concern" but declined to comment further.

Prime Members get the savings by using the Whole Foods app on their smartphone and linking it with their Amazon account.

"We're excited that Prime savings will be available at almost half of our Whole Foods Market stores this week, giving more Prime members access to great deals just in time for summer", A.C. Gallo, president and chief operating officer at Whole Foods Market, said in a statement. The discounts include exclusive sales on a small number of products - sales only available to Prime members - plus an extra 10% off most other on-sale items in the store.

The 36,000-square-foot Whole Foods is uptown Charlotte's first full-sized grocery store.
