Halo Infinite Announced by Microsoft

The trailer offered very little in the way of actual information about the game, showcasing a band of soldiers wandering through a field, followed by a quick reveal of Master Chief's helmet. Microsoft teased a new Halo game called Halo Infinite, "powered by the SlipSpace engine".

The full trailer shows a glimpse of the Master Chief himself, and there is some impressive landscape shots, hinting at an expansive environment.

Today Xbox is hosting its E3 2018 press briefing from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and we finally saw the reveal of the new chapter of the Halo franchise.

Taliban announce brief ceasefire, offering Afghans hope for lull in war
Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan have killed as many as 65 government soldiers and police officers in three attacks . Ghani's cease-fire offer did not cover Afghan operations against the Islamic State or other hard-line groups.

You can check out the trailer below, and see if it entices you.

Will Halo Infinite be the fresh direction the franchise sorely needs? If you've ever seen Forza Motorsport 6 or Forza Horizon 3 running on an Xbox One X, on a 4K tv, then you know exactly what we're talking about.

"I know waiting can be hard for folks who are excited for more info about the game". There's also the possibility of a VR dimension to a future Halo game, after Microsoft were caught looking for a creative director to deliver "an all new VR experience in the Halo universe".
