Forza Horizon 4 is Officially Revealed, and it's Set in Britain

Microsoft announced four new acquisitions and the creation of a new studio during the company's keynote at E3, bolstering its continued investment in gaming technology and commitment to creating first-party titles.

Xbox head Phil Spencer announced Sunday that Microsoft has acquired Ninja Theory, Playground Games, Undead Labs and Compulsion Games.

The new studios will all be housed beneath the Microsoft Studios brand alongside a new venture called The Initiative led by former Crystal Dynamics head of studio Darrell Gallagher.

Forza Horizon 4 comes out on October 2, 2018 and will include an Xbox Game Pass on the same day. And, for fans of these studios, the monetary support from Microsoft should help them put out some great new content. Spencer even said the studios would have "creative independence", which should help ease any worries that Microsoft could spoil these studios. Ninja Theory made the impressively cinematic Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

Then there's Compulsion Games, the developer behind We Happy Few, which is also involved in this big video game love-in.
