Grisly discovery in alligator following woman's disappearance

The woman had been walking two dogs at the Silver Lakes Rotary Nature Park in Davie, Florida, a witness told authorities.

"Her dogs won't leave the pond", Davie Police Maj.

Earlier, a witness told authorities he saw the woman walking two dogs and then noticed the dogs barking near the water, but he did not see the woman again, said Davie Police Detective Viviana Gallinal.

The alligator is still being investigated, and Davie police haven't said if they believe that is the gator is responsible or for the wounds on the dog or if the arm belongs to the missing woman. Dale Engle clarified that no divers could search the water until the alligator was captured.

A necropsy performed on a 12-foot, 6-inch alligator captured in the lake in Davie indicates the woman was bitten by the animal, said agency spokesperson Rob Klepper. Neighbors say they often see people walking their dogs around the lakes and have even seen kids go swimming in them.

A Florida Fish and Wildlife trapper met the harsh reality when dealing with gators in Florida.

Sadly, this isn't the first time a park goer has come across an alligator. The missing woman's dogs are now in custody of Broward County Animal Care and Adoption.

Having squandered one set point, he went in for a simple backhand volley victor only to dump it into the net. At least Thiem can boast being the only man to have defeated Nadal on clay in the last two years.

A witness claims to have seen the gator drag the woman into the water, WSVN reported.

"This tragedy is heartbreaking for everyone involved, and our honest condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim at this time", the FWC said in a statement.

While alligators are common in Florida, in the past ten years the hotline has received 16,000 alligator complaints each year, attacks by an alligator are rare. The couple did not live in the neighborhood but he said she liked to find different places to talk the dogs. Borrelli said he was asked to go to the park to get more information.

Alligators are found in all 67 of Florida's counties, according to the FWC.

The park is near Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami. At least 24 of those incidents resulted in fatalities, according to the report.
