Philadelphia 76ers President Bryan Colangelo Resigns

June 7th - Sixers announce they have accepted Colangelo's resignationJune 7th - Law firm that conducted investigation announces Colangelo's wife established and operated burner Twitter accounts " The evidence supports the conclusion that Ms. Barbara Bottini, Mr. Colangelo's wife, established the Twitter accounts and posted content on those accounts.

The Philadelphia 76ers plan on putting Brett Brown front and center for their free agent presentations regardless of what happens with Bryan Colangelo.

Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post also listed former Cleveland Cavaliers GM David Griffin, Boston Celtics assistant GM Mike Zarren, former Atlanta Hawks general manager Danny Ferry and former Sixers GM Sam Hinkie as possible candidates. "While this was obviously a mistake, we are a family and we will work through this together".

Colangelo also said that his wife had tweeted information that was inaccurate and filled with conjecture.

"We believe that Mr. Colangelo was careless and in some instances reckless in failing to properly safeguard sensitive, non-public, club-related information in communications with individuals outside the 76ers organization", a statement from the team said.

Tweets from these accounts revealed medical information about former centre Jahlil Okafor and took shots at current players, centre Joel Embiid and guard Markelle Fultz.

30-year-old dies in shooting incident in Bray
A 30-year-old man was killed and another man was injured in the shooting, which took place at Bray boxing club in County Wicklow. She went on to win gold at London 2012 with her father in her corner but now works in the U.S. under different management.

Last week, The Ringer published a story linking anonymous Twitter accounts to Colangelo, and those accounts were critical of the Sixers, their players and supportive of Colangelo.

"Although I am not directly responsible for the actions, I regret this incident occurred and understand that it has become a distraction for the team".

"Over the last two years, I have worked hard to help build a foundation for what I hope will soon be many championship seasons for the 76ers". He was hired by the team in April 2016, succeeding Hinkie in the role.

"We can not conclude that Mr. Colangelo was aware of the Twitter accounts prior to the May 22 press inquiry".

The statement did not say whether the 76ers had found Colangelo guilty of any wrongdoing but confirmed that law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison had looked into the matter. He served as Toronto's general manager from 2006-2013.

When asked a question about Cavs owner Dan Gilbert's tweets, LeBron said he hadn't seen them but asked if it was truly his account, referencing Colangelo.
