Star Wars Obi-Wan Movie Timeline And Director Reportedly Revealed

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the film will unsurprisingly be called Obi-Wan: A Star Wars Story, following the naming convention of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story. The report claims the Obi-Wan film is not an origin story like "Solo" but a direct prequel to the original "Star Wars". One of the most hoped for has been an Obi-Wan Kenobi film, centering on the Jedi master's adventures after the prequels. Obi-Wan will allegedly begin with Kenobi living as a hermit on Tatooine, as he secretly watches over the young Luke Skywalker. After tensions rise between the local farmers and a tribe of Sand People (led by a ruthless war chief), Obi-Wan comes out of hiding and takes care of things as Jedis do.

The latest rumours come after McGregor spoke about possibly playing the role of Obi-Wan again as he chatted to reporters at this year's Golden Globes.

Listed in the bulletin is Stephen Daldry (The Hours), attached as director.

Governor Greitens vows he won't quit amid allegations
Prosecutors never found the alleged photo and Monday dropped the charges with the option to re-file them at a later date. Gardner hired Tisaby, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, as a special investigator for the governor's case.

It's worth mentioning that this synopsis is incredibly similar to that of John Jackson Miller's 2013 novel, Kenobi. While there isn't much written about his time on Tatooine, we do have a Marvel Comics series to look to for possible story threads, which were based around "The Journals of Ben Kenobi". Beyond those, we also know thatThe Last Jedidirector Rian Johnson is working on his own trilogy of films, as are Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Their methods are more of the ways of the Dark Side and the Sith, but they get the job done. Take it with a grain of salt for now and hopefully we'll have the official details soon. Yes and no. With so many leaks surfacing for the film, it's nearly certainly happening.

What makes this rumor a little hard to swallow, though, is that publicly, Lucasfilm has declared that it wants to continue focusing on Han, with the next "Star Wars Story" film likely following in "Solo"'s footsteps, and highlighting Han's relationship with Chewie.
