Did Weeknd Scrap His 'Upbeat' Album After Breakup With Selena?

The Weeknd recorded and released My Dear Melancholy, his latest EP (or album, or whatever you want to call it), in the wake of his highly publicized breakup with Selena Gomez. "It was very upbeat-it was lovely", he added. If asked if we'll ever hear the songs off the project, he replies, "Never".

Canadian singer The Weeknd has landed on the cover of Time as one of the 10 individuals the magazine has anointed "Next Generation Leaders".
