The Red Hydrogen One smartphone is coming to AT&T

Now, however, we finally have an idea of when we can get our hands on the phone - it will be available this summer from AT&T.

Credit: Red/AT&TBoth AT&T and Verizon announced today (May 17) that they will carry the Red Hydrogen One when that phone is released. Neither carrier listed a specific launch date, with AT&T saying only that the phone would be available "later this summer".

According to Jannard, the phone has a 2560 x 1440 screen resolution in 2D mode.

Jannard says that both the holographic screen and multichannel spatial sound is something that's hard to describe and something that users will have to see or hear to fully appreciate.

The Hydrogen One will support different camera modules being attached, hooking up to a set of pogo-pins on the rear of the phone. Jannard says the smartphone's built-in camera will support the feature in both the rear and front cameras. The smartphone will also automatically save a 2D file as well.

LG G7 ThinQ release date confirmed as May 31
In the previous month, Android Headlines had revealed some of the key features of the forthcoming LG V35 ThinQ smartphone . This deal only applies to G7 pre-orders placed during the above dates from certain carriers and retailers.

The phone itself runs Android on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. In addition to the new smartphone, the company behind the smartphone will launch the HYDROGEN network, an exclusive network of channels with 4-View content. "Unlocked" Pre-orders will however ship before that".

Since RED expects content creators to be all over the phone, that big battery will probably come in useful. It's a little larger than a regular 5.7-inch smartphone - about 2 ounces more, RED has said, and slightly thicker - but the company has used that to add a larger than usual battery.

Both Verizon and AT&T mention in blog posts that the Hydrogen One will go on sale in stores starting later this summer, which lines up with the August launch we've been hearing about for the past few months.

When the RED HYDROGEN ONE launches you'll be able to look around, below and into your screen's image with a 4-view holographic display, which is better still than 3D.
