The CW Recruits Batwoman For This Year's Arrowverse Crossover

The CW will host another superhero crossover event this fall, but this time they'll be introducing the character of Batwoman into the fold.

Believe it or not, none other than Batwoman will be introduced in this fall's Arrowverse crossover! The character will be "fighting alongside" The CW's heroes, Amell said, with the crossover airing in December. "I need to leave right now and start filming it".

CW president Mark Pedowitz confirmed that the introducing of Batwoman will be the first time the character will make an appearance "on any screen".

The timing of the announcement comes just days after Fox announced the final season of "Gotham", and also comes the same day as Epix announced the straight-to-series greenlight of the DC origin story "Pennyworth", about Bruce Wayne's legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth. "This will be another full-throttled, action-packed event".

Ragland is already set to accompany her daughter to the wedding site - a break with tradition - but, if Mr. Her mother, Doria Ragland , a social worker and yoga teacher, calls her famous daughter "Flower".

Batwoman was first introduced in Detective Comics back in 1956 as Kathy Kane, one of the first vigilantes to make up the "Batman Family".

In the modern era, her legacy is taken up by the army brat Kate Kane, a lesbian expelled from West Point due to her sexuality. In fact, Batwoman was one of the most popular books of the early New 52 era before the creative team of W. Haden Blackman and J.H. Williams III left the book after DC refused to let Batwoman marry Maggie Sawyer.

We'll bring you more details on the CW's bat-tastic plans for the next DC crossover as we learn them, but get ready to gear up for a trip to Gotham this autumn!
