Stormy Daniels: Trump Discloses Payment To Reimburse Cohen

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is now serving as President Donald Trump's attorney, said today's disclosure of the President's new financial statement explains why he purposely went public with the revelation that Trump paid back his personal attorney for a payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis Wednesday announced the retirement of its top legal expert over the $1.2 million in payments to Cohen, while AT&T has said it made a "big mistake" by paying the lawyer some $600,000.

"In the interest of transparency, while not required to be disclosed as "reportable liabilities".in 2016 expenses were incurred by one of Donald J. Trump's attorneys, Michael Cohen", a note at the bottom of Page 45 of the 92-page report states.

The disclosure came in Trump's annual financial form, a copy which was released by Office of Government Ethics. Mr Trump's lawyer said his client "vehemently denies" the claim.

The Cohen footnote appears in a report giving the first extended look at Trump's revenue from his properties since he became president.

While many pundits called Giuliani's disclosure a gaffe, Giuliani said at the time that he was working in sync with Trump.

Vice President Mike Pence in his discloser form said that he had more than Dollars 100,000 in student loans for his children and USD 15,000 as credit-debit debt.

"Novartis believed that Michael Cohen could advise the company as to how the Trump administration might approach certain U.S. healthcare policy matters, including the Affordable Care Act", Novartis said. The White House did not respond to requests for comment to clarify the reason for Trump's payment to Cohen.

Shaub, who served as the ethics czar during President Barack Obama's second term, noted that Apol's letter to Rosenstein is tantamount to a "criminal referral".

In April, Mr Trump said he was unaware Mr Cohen had paid Ms Daniels just before the 2016 election.

Last week, Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti wrote on Twitter that Novartis and USA telecoms giant AT&T had used the services of Cohen's firm Essential Consultants - the same company used to make the payment to Daniels.

The exact figure specified in the financial disclosure is said to be between $100,000 and $250,000.

The ethics disclosure also showed Trump received more than $25 million in income in 2017 from Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Palm Beach, Florida, and more than $15 million in income from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Jimenez, who said he spoke with Cohen on the phone but never met him, said his real mistake was to continue payments after Novartis concluded Trump's attorney could not deliver useful insights that he had promised.
