The book Davidson is referring to is Trump's 2015 book "Crippled America: How to Make America Great Again" debuted at #5 on the New York Times hardcover nonfiction bestseller list - directly behind Ben Carson's 'A More Perfect Union'.

Much has been said about the moment in 2015 when our current president and then candidate Donald Trump hostedSaturday Night Live.

"We were all, like, 'Yo, that phone didn't ring". He said: "Hello? Fantastic, okay great", and then announced to the room, "Hey everybody, my book just went No. 1".

"He faked a phone call during a table read", Davidson said, explaining the man who would later go on to lead America felt compelled to stunt on a bunch of strangers. Davidson mentioned that the "phone call" was suspicious because of the duration of the call and the fact that Trump never paused to let the person on the other line speak. Oh that's great. Great (abruptly hangs up phone).

Diehard "SNL" fans will recall this isn't the first time a Not Ready for Prime Time Player has pointed out this particular incident. Show alum Taran Killam recalled it a little differently when he appeared on "Larry King Now" in October 2017, saying that the call came in the middle of the table reading and lasted three minutes. "In my experience, he didn't have a great sense of humor, didn't really understand a lot of the intention of the jokes or sketches or the premise".
