Russos' "Deadly Class" SYFY Trailer

Martin executive produces with Brian Nelson, Mike Cahill and Andrew McCarthy.

Nightflyers, follows eight maverick scientists and a powerful telepath who embark on an expedition to the edge of our solar system aboard The Nightflyer - a ship with a small tightknit crew anld a reclusive captain - in the hope of making contact with alien life.

Which is pretty much exactly what they do in Syfy's new series Deadly Class, which sees the brothers executive produce and actively promote the series based on Rick Remender's comic book series of the same name. "It does an unbelievable job of exploring teenage years and the sense of alienation that you feel". While I haven't read through the most recent issue, I did really enjoy the first volume of it. Fans of the Deadly Class comics will recognize the green-haired mohawk as one of the more beloved characters. "The threats are real", he says in the clip. It follows a homeless teenager who is recruited into an elite private school run by the world's criminal elite with strict ethical and moral codes and a social environment that could literally leave any one of the students dead.

Nightflyers and Deadly Class join a scripted slate for Syfy that includes Krypton, The Magicians, Channel Zero, Van Helsing, Wynonna Earp, Killjoys, and Z Nation.

WWE 'Smackdown' Up for Grabs as NBCUniversal Moves to Pin Down 'Raw'
Rumors surfaced earlier this year that Fox Sports could be a good candidate to broadcast WWE shows in the near future. It marked the first time that the top three shows were broadcast on the same network.

Anthony and Joe Russo are working on the show and with their work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captiain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, they've earned my trust when it comes to them adapting comic book stories. Adam Targum ("Banshee") from Chipmunk Hill also served as executive producer on the pilot, along with Lee Toland Krieger ("The Age of Adaline"), who also directed.

At this time, Deadly Class does not have a specific release date, but will come to Syfy sometime in 2019.

Deadly Class stars Benjamin Wadsworth, Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, Michel Duval, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Luke Tennie, Liam James, Carolyn Anderson, Jason Asuncion, Erica Cerra, Leo Chiang, Sean Depner, Jack Gillett, Juan Grey, Gary Hetherington, and Taylor Hickson.
