Luka Modric: "Liverpool deserve to be in the final"

Luka Modric:

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish presented Mohamed Salah with the Golden Boot award after he scored a record-breaking 32nd goal of the season in a 4-0 win over Brighton.

Messi has scored 45 goals in all competitions this season, while Ronaldo has netted 43.

Luis Suarez also reached the same number in the 2013-14 campaign with Liverpool with his last goal for the Merseyside club before he joined Barcelona. Salah, De Bruyne & Kane grabbed the majority of the headlines over the 38 games, but what of the players that we forgot even played in the 2017/18 campaign? All in all, a goal-fest is expected on the cards when Real Madrid play Liverpool for the biggest prize in European club football. An incident which Gerrard revealed will "hunt him for the rest of his life".

Following the heartwarming duo's performance, Salah walked back to his wife, draped in the Egyptian flag, and handed her the Golden Boot as they walked off, according to Al-Arabiya. Salah possesses a wand of a left foot, and some of his characteristics are strikingly similar to Lionel Messi, with his balance and technique standing out, in particular.

Lovren's header put the game beyond a beleaguered Brighton, who were fortunate to only trail by two at the half-time interval.

"That number, I have no idea of course, because it's hard to score that many goals otherwise other people would've done it".

After a breakout season at Swansea in 2013/14 the Dutch striker has faded into insignificance this season.

Jordan Henderson's quick ball out to the touchline was kept in by Firmino, who slipped it inside to Salah and there was only ever likely to be one outcome.

"The only thing that we have to do is play our own game and not be nervous".

Virgil van Dijk wants Liverpool to cap off a "great season" by making the most of a Champions League final he has no doubt they deserve to be in.

His preparation and the way he went about his business is definitely not the reason this happened. Yoenis Cespedes spent about a week trying to play through his latest lower body injury.
