Ex-Trinidad and Tobago defender Jlloyd Samuel dies at 37

Samuel also played for England at youth level, featuring for the Under-18, Under-20 and Under-21 teams, but pledged his worldwide allegiance to Trinidad, winning two caps.

The 37-year-old was reportedly killed in a auto accident in England on Tuesday.

The Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers defender was killed in a horror crash as his auto was engulfed by a fireball after hitting another vehicle. He played two full worldwide matches for Trinidad and Tobago in 2009.

"At around 7.55am (06:55GMT) police were called following reports of a collision involving a van and a Range Rover", said a statement from Cheshire Police.

They added: "His next of kin have been informed and are now being supported by specially trained officers".

Cheshire Police said the 54-year-old male van driver, from Chester, remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Omo-Agege attends Senate plenary
Omo-agege arrived the senate chamber at exactly 10:20 a.m. and went straight to sign the attendance register at the entrance. By the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/314/2018, Omo-Agege, had challenged his suspension from the Senate, saying it was illegal.

Samuel was born in Trinidad and Tobago but grew up in London.

He played junior football for Senrab, the club where a host of Premier League stars, including John Terry, Ledley King and Sol Campbell, started their careers.

Samuel progressed through the ranks at Charlton before joining Aston Villa.

The 37-year-old made 169 Premier League appearances for the Villans from 1998-2007 and spent four years at Bolton before playing in Iran for Esteghlal and Paykan until 2015.

"The family at this time respectfully request to be left alone so they can have time to grieve and mourn his passing".
