The brownies were intercepted before anyone could eat them.

Another worker at the MI engineering company (name unknown) told management and police were notified.

According to MLive, staff at MMI Engineered Solutions called police after an employee found out that their 47-year-old co-worker was planning to bring laxative-laced treats to another worker's going away party.

A woman in MI is accused of being a real party pooper after she allegedly brought laxative-filled brownies to a co-worker's farewell party.

Lightning avenge home losses with Game 3 win at Capitals
There was a time when the Washington Capitals couldn't be trusted to advance past the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. They also surrendered a 6-on-5 goal to Evgeny Kuznetsov with 3:02 left that made things interesting in the final minutes.

The suspect, who reportedly had an ongoing dispute with the departing employee, initially denied putting laxatives in the brownies but fessed up once she was told they would be forensically tested.

Other employees told police there may have been tension between the woman and the departing employee, but specifics haven't been released. The woman won't be charged, in part because the brownies weren't eaten, but she has been fired by the Saline-based company.

Colleagues say there was bad blood between the two workers, although the baking bandit denied she had any beef with her intended target, according to MLive.

Though police say the woman admitted to tampering with the brownies, Hart said no charges will be pursued. "It's a criminal act".
