Thurman Thomas to Have His No. 34 Jersey Retired by Bills

On Wednesday, the Buffalo Bills announced that they will retire Thurman Thomas' jersey number, No. 34, before their Week 8 clash with the New England Patriots next season.

A total of nine players have donned 34, including Cookie Gilchrist, but no one else since Thurman Thomas. This is where I saw the fans cheering us on.

Yes, it has taken this long for the Bills to do something you'd assume had been done years ago. You can be on the road in Miami, or New England, or NY and still see Buffalo Bills fans everywhere, so I think that makes it a little bit more special. "Having my number retired is something special and something I'll remember for the rest of my life". Thomas said he's "overwhelmed" by the news.

Thomas ranks 16th on the NFL's all-time rushing list with 12,074 yards. "This is not just 34 jersey being retired". The Bills retired quarterback Jim Kelly's No. 12 in 2001 and defensive end Bruce Smith's No. 78 in 2016.

Tim Willits of id Software said, "We have this novel approach: You buy the game and then you play it". In addition to the live-action and gameplay trailers , Bethesda has also released Rage 2 screenshots.

The 13-year National Football League running back will become the third player to have his jersey retired by the Bills.

He earned five Pro Bowl selections and helped the Bills secure four straight Super Bowl appearances.

The 40th overall pick of the 1988 draft out of Oklahoma State, Thomas became an integral part of the Bills' offense immediately.
