Tenacious D Announce Their First Tour in Five Years

The band shared a video announcing the run, the group's first USA tour in five years, which also contains word a new album will "probably" be out before the end of the year. Black indicated that the band is working on a sequel to their 2006 film, The Pick of Destiny.

You can see the band's tour dates and watch the tour trailer below. That's most likely due to how busy Jack Black is with his other endeavors, but now, The D is back: the duo just announced that they're going on tour, and there might even be a new album on the way.

The 40-second clip shows Kyle Gass and Jack Black sitting on a couch, trying to think of new ways to come up with rent money. They will also be making appearances at this year's Rockfest in Canada and the Foo Fighters' Cal Jam festival in California. "I guess we have to write another album", suggests Gass, before Black chimes in by explaining "Ugh, dude that's gonna take us like five more years - we are fucked, we are so fucked".

RBA warns unemployment will have to fall further before wages can rise
Lacklustre wages growth would continue to dampen household spending that's already saddled with record high levels of debt. They are seen as crucial to delivering the tax revenues needed to return the budget to surplus.

The album is tentatively titled Post Apocalypto, fitting with the snippet of new music which contains the lyrics, "Apocalypto this is our time to shine". The solution: a new album ... probably.

Tenacious D's album release schedule could definitely be called "infrequent".
