Pa. Sen. Scott Wagner Wins GOP Nomination To Challenge Gov. Tom Wolf

Pa. Sen. Scott Wagner Wins GOP Nomination To Challenge Gov. Tom Wolf

Wagner is brash - "I am going to be the next governor, take that to the bank", he said a year ago - and has a penchant for off-the-cuff speaking that makes him a magnet for controversy.

Along the way, Wagner pumped more than $10 million of his own cash into his campaign, and he spread hundreds of thousands more around the state since previous year to boost GOP committees and candidates.

State Sen. Scott Wagner - the Republican Party's endorsed candidate, WCAU-TV reported - has been trading attacks with Paul Mango, a former health care systems consultant and ex-Army paratrooper.

Sen Wagner defeated Mango and Laura Ellsworth on Tuesday night, setting the stage for Wagner to challenge incumbent Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf in the general election.

Polls will close at 8 p.m.

Salah breaks more Prem scoring records
The goal meant the Egypt worldwide finished two ahead of Tottenham's Harry Kane in the race to be the league's top scorer. Adjusting Liverpool's efforts in the 1978-79 season to three points for a win, the overall record stood at 98.

A March poll from the American Principles Project found that Wagner led in the race against Mango. Mango thanked his supporters and volunteers for their help in a hard campaign that lasted 16 months.

Ellsworth failed to win the majority of the votes in any county while Wagner won 43 counties and Mango won 24.

Three GOP candidates for governor are facing off to see who will take on Tom Wolf in November. We all need to come together to do that. "He said 'I'm not going to leave this to chance. But, we think we're a couple points ahead, to tell you the truth".

Wagner fashions himself as a garbage man coming to clean up a profligate state government that chokes the economy with regulations and taxes. The loyalty won Barletta Trump's early support in the Senate race, as well as recorded telephone calls last weekend featuring the president backing Barletta "fully, strongly and proudly".

"We emerge from the primary stronger and are better prepared to meet the challenge we will face this fall". "I would convene the county commissioners, both democrats and republicans, and say "let's roll up our sleeves" and let's establish a smaller budget based on the priorities of the people in your counties, not based on the special interest of those in Harrisburg".
