Michael Carrick picks up Man Utd coaching reins for FA Cup final

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is bracing himself for unforgiving chatter about his consistent dismissal of youth talent - as he prepares to ditch a break-out youth star from last season. United still have the FA Cup final to play this weekend, but it's unlikely that any of the players who appear at Wembley will be allowed to leave the club by Jose Mourinho.

Carrick, who has made 464 appearances after joining the club from Tottenham in 12 years, said that he did not think twice about taking the new role.
