Kim Kardashian has been accused of promoting disordered eating by endorsing an appetite suppressant. "Appetite suppressant lollipops. I know y'all will do anything for money but capitalizing off of a product created to encourage disordered eating sICK".

Kim Kardashian sparked anger from fans and the wrath of actress Jameela Jamil for promoting "appetite suppressant lollipops" to her 111 million followers on Instagram.

She captioned the post: "You guys..." She urged fans to take advantage of an offer, adding: "If you want to get your hands on some. you need to do it quick!"

A third commented declared: "What a awful thing to promote when so many young girls look up to you".

"I admire their mother's branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to", Jamil continued.

Neither Kim Kardashian nor Tori Spelling have spoken out about the controversy, but many fans are praising Jameela Jamil for speaking up about her opinions on celebrity marketing, and Kim's possible negative influence on women around the world who see the ads and believe they need to be thinner or prettier to be successful and worthy in life. "You're a role model to so many young impressionable people and you have chosen to push a product encouraging appetite suppressing.irresponsible much?" "Eating is good for you, stop convincing people to literally starve themselves of food to get a flat tummy".

Kardashian has since deleted the post, likely as a result of the fierce backlash it stirred up across social media platforms.

Another person questioned: "How are we still promoting things like this in 2018? one of the most powerful women in the industry is advertising 'appetite suppressants.' If your body is telling you it's hungry, please eat. eating and being hungry is not a bad thing [sic]".
