Intel SSDs banned from Windows 10 update

After upgrading to the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, some users of devices with Toshiba XG4 Series, Toshiba XG5 Series, and Toshiba BG3 Series SSD drives experienced degraded battery life. Microsoft is presently investigating and will provide a status update when the investigation is complete.

Those that have already installed it may want to rollback to an earlier version of Windows 10. The Intel microcode update is only available for Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) and Windows Server 2016 Version 1803 (Server Core).

Use the shortcut Windows-I to open the Settings application. The ability to share content between Android / iOS devices and Windows 10 devices, however, doesn't come as a surprise since Microsoft had hinted during the internal testing phase at the end of the previous year that it will be extended to mobile operating systems.

Microsoft released today three additional Windows update packages -Microsoft Releases KB4100347, KB4134660, and KB4134661.

Los Angeles Will be Verizon's 2nd 5G Market for 2018
Los Angeles will be a far more challenging area to deploy 5G in than Sacramento, which is 69% less densely populated than LA. An exact rollout date for the LA launch wasn't provided, though Verizon indicates it will start this upcoming fall season.

As a reminder, Windows Server 2019 will be the next release in Microsoft's new Next Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC), and this version of the server OS should be generally available in the second half of 2018.

As noted above, this is a standalone update and it can be downloaded through Microsoft Update Catalog.

Ever since Intel disclosed the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities, Microsoft and Intel together rolled out several updates to mitigate them. The most notable changes in this build are improvements to Windows Sets, which now feature Acrylic, and Cloud Clipboard.
