Frances Bean Cobain divorce settled; ex-husband gets to keep Unplugged guitar

It was previously reported that the guitar was at the centre of the divorce battle between the daughter of the Nirvana frontman and her ex Isaiah Silva, who claimed that she gave it to him as a gift.

On April 21, 2016, Love filed a declaration accusing Lee of trying to exploit Cobain's death and claiming Lee has "stalked and harassed me, my family, and my friends for many, many years ..."

Although Frances Bean's divorce from Isaiah Silva was finalized last November, the question of the ownership of Kurt's 1959 Martin D-18E had still not been determined until now.

However, in new court documents obtained by TMZ, Cobain handed over the guitar following Silva's demands of $25k a month in spousal support - a sum she has been able to avoid after giving up the "treasured heirloom".

However, the daughter of Kurt and Courtney Love was keen to move on according to insiders, so gave up the fight, six months after their divorce was finalised.

Kurt Cobain's only child Frances Bean Cobain appears to be planning a foray into the music world herself. They were married for less than two years.

Frances debuted some of her own music on Instagram recently.

When asked by if she believes the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" hitmaker would like her musical ventures, Frances said: "I don't have an answer for that because I don't want to speak on someone else's behalf".

'I would hope that he would be proud of the human being I am even if he didn't like the art I am putting out.
