Fortnite's new 4.2 patch is coming tomorrow, Servers downtime announced

Today was supposed to be a fairly exciting one for Fortnite players.

There are various ways that you could probably work around the Fortnite replay challenge, maybe by joining in a game and either immediately quitting out or doing your best to get killed quickly, but hopefully Epic will be able to fix this problem soon.

As it so happens, Epic encountered some issues with the patch in the hours leading up to what should have been last night's downtime. So, as a result, "some quests may not function until the build releases". Now, that might seem like an easy feat, but several of us have tried in the GamesRadar office and there's definitely an issue with the Fortnite replay challenge not working.

The Black Ferns defeated the United States 45-12 in the World Cup semi-finals past year and went on to beat England 41-32 in the final.

So, if you logged into Fortnite this morning with the goal of getting a jump on week 3's challenges, you were probably quickly disappointed. As of writing this article, Epic hasn't come out with any further updates.

The addition of the Burst Assault Rifle will mark the first new balistic weapon added to Fortnite Battle Royale since the Light Machine Gun, which boasted a much higher fire rate and ammo capacity than the current Assault Rifles, at the cost of range and accuracy.

So until Fortnite 4.2 update is set live, you won't be able to complete this task, which is something that needs to be considered straight away. The update, which is due to bring an end to the game's time-limited Infinity Gauntlet mode, has had to be delayed due to the discovery of an unspecified error. Here's hoping all of the issues have been ironed out and update 4.2 will actually go live tonight, but we'll keep you posted regardless.
