Chelsea leading the race to sign Jean-Michael Seri

According to a report by Daily Mirror, Chelsea have taken pole position in the race to sign Jean Michael Seri in the summer transfer window.

The newspaper says Arsenal are now pushing hardest to get a deal agreed with director of football Raul Sanllehi holding talks with Seri's representatives about a possible £40m move to the Emirates.

Seri has been an integral part of the Nice team over the past couple of seasons to attract interest from a number of top European clubs. However, the move away from Nice never materialised and he subsequently stayed in France.

The Ivorian central midfielder made 42 appearances in all competitions for the French side this season, with a closing Ligue 1 match against Lyon set for Sunday, and has scored six goals along with five assists so far.

Will it be Chelsea or Arsenal for Seri?

Arsene Wenger called time on his 22-years at the club, and the Emirates hierarchy are looking at bringing in a head coach rather than a manager.

Parents were told to go to the baseball fields in Page Park, across the street from Dixon High School, to pick up their children. A male armed with a gun opened fire on an officer at Dixon High School in IL on Wednesday morning.

Seri was formerly a target for La Liga champions Barcelona.

If either side are to land the midfielder this summer, though, they will need to cough up a considerable sum.

Seri could be the answer to our midfield struggles.

If the report is anything to go by, Chelsea are now leading Arsenal in the player's pursuit, even though the Gunners are in talks with Nice over a possible move.

The 26-year-old's excellent performances in the middle of the park have caught the attention of clubs in the Premier League as the Evening Standard claims that Arsenal and Chelsea have both expressed their interest.
