Back To The Classics! Nintendo Will Restock The NES Classic Next Month

Now we know the release date for the Nintendo NES Classic Edition in Canada and the United States of America, as the units will hit retailers on June 29, 2018.

With the re-release of Nintendo's miniature, $60 NES Classic Edition this June, you can relive the classic games of your childhood in an adorable little package.

Its sequel, the Super Nintendo Classic Edition, will also be available for purchase through the end of the year.

No word on when the pre-order date will be. Pre-orders sold out in advance of the launch and those hoping to buy one in-store were met with long lines and empty shelves.

Apple and Samsung back in court
A $1.05 billion jury verdict from 2012 has been whittled down by a previous retrial in 2013, along with appeals and adjustments. Samsung Electronics Co., 11-cv-01846, US District Court, Northern District of California (San Jose).

Both mini consoles were originally released in such small numbers that hungry consumers crashed websites trying to get their hands on one. However, copious amounts of fan outcry did the trick. As noted above, that's actually happening starting June 29.

"Just plug the NES Classic Edition into your TV, pick up that gray controller, and rediscover the joy of NES games."

The games come with helpful features like suspend points, which make it easy to "save" your game, unlike with progress on the original cartridges.

As for the games, some of the best NES titles are up for grabs, including everything from Super Mario Bros. and Pac-Man to Metroid and Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. The return of the device to stores, however, may be part of the reason why Nintendo will not roll out a Nintendo Switch Virtual Console.

There will be no increase in the NES Classic Edition price for its return, as it will still be sold at $59.99.
