The BlackBerry KEY² Will Launch On June 7

If you've got a hankering for BlackBerry phones of yesteryear though, the Key2 launch should definitely be worth looking out for.

TENAA also posted the potential specifications of the smartphone.

We're now less than a month away from that launch date, so we should start to hear more rumors and leaks drip through in the days ahead, but we'll also bring you all the official news as it's announced from NY.

BlackBerry Mobile has announced via its Twitter account that the BlackBerry KEY² will launch next month. Now, the BlackBerry KEY2 appears ready to be its successor. But sometimes we get a phone that is not scared to play with its principles, which is very much what we saw a year ago using the BlackBerry KEYone. The branding of KEY2 is pretty interesting, with new Blackberry KEY2 logo with a numeral "2" rather than two spelled out, like the company did with KEYone. The TENAA listing shows the pictures of the upcoming device. The phone is also said to switching to the dual camera configuration. This is contrary to the back panel on the BlackBerry KEYone that didn't have a textured design above the rear camera setup. On the top, the smartphone could have a 3.5mm audio jack, while its bottom might have a USB Type-C port. It will have support for dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The keys on the full QWERTY keyboard of the handset also have a matte finish. The device will also upgrade to more powerful Snapdragon 660 mobile platform and as well boost the RAM to 6GB.
