Verne Troyer, the actor best known for playing Mini Me in the Austin Powers movies, has died at 49, his representative confirmed in a statement to USA TODAY Saturday. You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside.

Troyer was an actor, stunt performer and comedian. However, TMZ and The Blast both reported that it was alcohol-related.

Troyer was later placed in an "involuntary psychiatric hold", according to the Blast.

The Facebook statement also noted that Troyer also suffered from depression and thoughts of suicide.

He has appeared on a number of reality TV shows, including Celebrity Big Brother in the United Kingdom in 2009.
