Indians donate $37000 for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico

M - About 840,000 people across Puerto Rico were without power Thursday as the U.S. territory continues to struggle after the damage caused by Hurricane Maria last fall, according to island's Electric Power Authority, Washington Post reported.

The first donation of $18,400 was extended to Nuestra Escuela, a high school in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

On Monday, the team announced its plans to donate its full playoff share to hurricane aid efforts in Puerto Rico.

Analysts See $0.13 EPS for LG Display Co., Ltd

Lindor took part in a baseball clinic Monday for kids at his grade school. Delgado will give 100 percent of the donation to Albergue Jesus de Nazareth, a home for abused children in Mayaguez. Mayaguez is the hometown of C Roberto Perez.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Puerto Rico's Electric Power Authority says electricity has been restored to all 840,000 customers affected by a large power outage in the USA territory. Since the hurricane tore from the island's southeast corner though the central mountains and out the northwest coast six months ago, several communities near Cayey remain without power. As a result of these donations, today they presented a $4,000 check to Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos (www.casajulia.org), a well-respected institution for abused women in Puerto Rico founded in 1979.

The Twins begin a two-game series with the Cleveland Indians tonight at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico.
