Twitter goes offline for users around the world

Well, you might not be alone!

TweetDeck, Twitter's own more advanced client, seems to be loading fine. Several people on Twitter on Tuesday reported issues that made it nearly impossible to load profile or even refresh the timeline.

If one tried to log into Twitter on the desktop or had the site open, it reflected an error. "Please try again later".

'Thanks for noticing. We're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon'.

Twitter has gone offline for users around the world, with the message "something is technically wrong" being displayed alongside an unhappy robot on its page.

Twitter's Support handle had tweeted, "Some users may have recently experienced issues accessing Twitter on mobile & web".

Thousands of Twitter users are reporting problems with the service every minute, DownDetector reports. The Android app (44 percent) and website (33 percent) are the most affected.
