Walking Dead's [SPOILER] Actually Survived the Season 8 Finale

Walking Dead's [SPOILER] Actually Survived the Season 8 Finale

Since season 6 more than 200 Saviors have been killed, meaning that Negan probably started out with around 400 fighters. "It wasn't just a goodbye, it was a seminal moment in Morgan's life". He believes that everyone must die and must pay for taking everything from them. As for the question of Rick's fate that had been set up since the premiere, the image of the badly bleeding former sheriff with red eyes leaning against a tree came at the end of his fight with Negan and helped to cement the season's larger message: his mercy prevailed over his wrath (at least for now). So, how many Saviors does he actually have? One problem: Eugene chose to sabotage the Saviors by making bullets that would backfire instead. Negan tells the other Saviors to load him up. As they walk to the next location, Jesus speaks with Morgan about the struggles he's been having. "Something to try." He gestured toward the sharp end of Morgan's Aikido staff. They come out of the field and hear whistling. Negan's voice echoes as he taunts them. He also has Gabriel and Dwight at gunpoint.

Could that horde be hiding the next group Rick's people go up against in the comics, The Whispers?

And now, Rick wanted to return the favor. "Michonne too", she tells him. Althea, perhaps more interestingly, is thinking of the future beyond their survival - recording and documenting journeys to connect this chapter of human history. Negan counts down and, for a brief second, thinks that maybe Rick is right. Rick chased down Negan and, just like he did in the comics, (comics spoiler), he slit his enemy's throat-but not deeply enough to kill him. You helped me. You did.

Rick tells the Saviors to put their hands down. "Make it thrive for the people who who live here". He believes that there has to be something afterwards.

Meanwhile, back at the Hilltop, the Saviors approach. The prisoner Saviors come to the gate. And we've got the scoop from the man who oversees both shows, Scott M. Gimple, on how it happened.

Immediately after the battle, Rosita asks Eugene if he is the one who tampered with the guns. And then Morgan ran.

After the cold open and the new Fear credits sequence, we returned back to the trash heaps location previously occupied by Jadis and the Scavengers, and there was Morgan, alone.

Madison may have her problems, but lack of affection for her children is not one of them (in fact, the biggest complaint about Madison through the first three seasons was how much she smothered her children).

"You're gonna be evidence that we're making a civilization", Rick told Negan. "I'm tempted to say things but I can't yet". She just says okay. Daryl didn't want him hanging around Hilltop, driving him out to the middle of the woods for a heart to heart. Daryl just tosses auto keys at him. Dwight pulls up to his old house and finds a note with the word "Honeymoon" and an infinity symbol on it from his wife.

Cold front to bring cool temperatures, breezy winds
As for the front that looks to produce another decent round of showers and storms. "After the storms, we will have a cooldown". Wednesday clouds will start to build throughout Acadiana as gulf moisture moves over the region with highs in the lower 80s.

Jerry, Henry, Ezekiel and Carol head back to the Kingdom. But Rick and Michonne, Rick was wrong to do what he did. Michonne (Danai Gurai) also betrays Maggie by holding her back from trying to stop Negan from being saved. Daryl backs her up.

"But Rick and Michonne?" His explanation for leaving his group as he's filmed on camera was emotionally juicier than anything we've seen on the main show in recent years, saying "I lose people, then I lose myself' with callous emptiness". He says that he remembers the past and them walking along a path when Carl was a child.

Rick now seems committed to this new world and new vision.

That's a wrap on recapping Season 8. I had my doubts and thought that either Rick or Negan would be killed, but that's not the case.

Viewers now know that scenario is a possibility, although the finale shrewdly planted the seeds for future discord (this is a drama, after all), emanating from those who had been Rick's closing allies.

I was surprised that Eugene did what he did. Things were not going to end well for Simon, and that was proven at the end of this past episode.

Maggie and Alden are totally going to hook up, right? It sure looks like Maggie could become the series' best villain yet.

Did you like the season 8 finale? "You go out there and you make it right". Will the communities really be able to work together and grow into a new world?

The episode featured the final battle of the two-season "All-Out War" storyline that introduced Negan and his Saviors as a huge threat to Rick and his survivors. Want more news? Like our Walking Dead Facebook page.
