Sea of Thieves received an update a couple of days ago, and it balanced several weapons while performing several UI changes and bug fixes.

Rare has sketched an outline of the content that is coming to Sea of Thieves over the next few months.

Also in winter, a "Forsaken Shores" update that will add yet another AI threat, as well as a new area to explore, and more perilous adventures. We will also be introducing a number of new mechanics to assist players on this adventure, and there will be unique rewards that players can earn as part of this event.

The idea is to reward players for teaming up to take on the new enemy, which, once the event ends, be added to the world "permanently". In the summer, you'll get both a new ship type through Cursed Sails as well as a new region in Forsaken Shores.

First down the gangplank (I can do this all day) will be The Hungering Deep in May, which brings a new AI-driven threat for players to face, new gameplay mechanics, and of course more loot.
