Sacramento native dominates street race in Long Beach

But yeah, it was like qualifying every lap for both of us there at the end.

Dixon, who was involved in an opening lap contact, nearly nabbed his first podium of the season on the fast street circuit on MOnday (NZT).

"When you look at what Rossi did this weekend... man, really, really, really strong". "The crowds here and just the whole atmosphere is so welcoming and inviting that it's no surprise that this race has been on the calendar for so long. It's just my third race with the team and I was able to equal my best result in the Verizon IndyCar Series".

"This one I'll definitely remember for a very long time for a lot of different reasons".

Rossi comfortably earned the second pole of his three-year IndyCar career during qualifying, and his pace was still there in the race. Will be updated.Alexander Rossi pulled away from a late restart and won the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Ed Jones of Chip Ganassi Racing finished a solid third in the No. 10 NTT DATA Honda, tying the career best that the second-year driver from Dubai accomplished at last year's Indianapolis 500.

"I've given up two potential wins, so let's try not to do that tomorrow", Rossi said. "I mean, if you're going to hit the wish list, those are the three".

Racing resumed on Lap 76 and Rossi couldn't be bested as he won from Power, Ed Jones, Zach veach and Rahal.

Pagenaud didn't even last a lap, as Graham Rahal rear-ended him heading into Turn 1 and sent him spinning out of control.

NA Cuts Position in Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG)
Finally, William Blair reaffirmed a "hold" rating on shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill in a research note on Monday, January 22nd. It increased, as 51 investors sold PFE shares while 675 reduced holdings. 23 funds opened positions while 39 raised stakes.

Rossi was a contestant on the most recent season of the CBS reality show The Amazing Race alongside fellow driver Conor Daly, who attended the race in Long Beach despite not now having an IndyCar ride.

Power was unable to overhaul the local Californian driver in the final stages of the race, trying to put the former F1 driver under pressure by trying to maximise what was left of his push to pass but could not keep up with the #27 NAPA tool cars. Rossi is the third different driver to win in as many races this season and felt it made amends for previous year, when he was running strong in the top three until a mechanical issue ended his race early.

Power started and finished second in the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet, leading six laps. "At the end of the day, Rossi was just too fast all day". "He was just really, really good. That's pretty much all we had". He's second in the IndyCar standings, five points behind Newgarden, the defending series champion and fellow American.

Power took the lead when Rossi pitted on the 25th lap, but Rossi moved right back in front on the 32nd lap. Because the pits were closed, Bourdais could not take service in his pit but Dixon took service despite being behind Bourdais. Bourdais drove through and lost position, while Dixon later had to serve a drive-through penalty for taking a full pit stop. Those opportunities were seized by many drivers - particularly Bourdais, who executed a jaw-dropping move to pass diagonally through three drivers. Unfortunately, I also had Pagenaud bouncing back in a big way, and he didn't make it to Turn 1.

Graham Rahal managed to bring home his RLL racing auto home in fifth place despite having to serve a drive-through penalty for contact with Simon Pagenaud on the opening lap of the race, the collision sent the Frenchman hurtling into the wall causing irreparable damage to the Penske vehicle. Rahal was assessed a drive-thru penalty for the avoidable contact. However, race control ordered Bourdais to give back the position because he used part of the pit exit lane to make the pass.

Britain's Jordan King spoiled Bourdais' race in the latter stages after going into the back of the St.Petersberg victor at the final hairpin on lap 72 leading to a partial blockage of the track, this incident came after the rookie came into the pits to try and re-bleed the brakes after complaints of a long brake pedal.

Ryan Hunter-Reay also had to come in early for a new nose after opening-lap contact with Scott Dixon.

The Verizon IndyCar Series returns to action Sunday, April 22 with the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at the scenic Barber Motorsports Park road course in Birmingham, Alabama.
