Robbery suspect who barricaded himself in Chattanooga house is now in custody

Police in Limpopo are condemning residents reporting false cases to the police in the strongest possible terms.

Investigators told Channel 3 the suspect abandoned his vehicle and ran off to a home on North Hawthorne Street.

An officer in the area spotted the suspect and a pursuit began. Sutton says thankfully, everyone is okay. She did not know the suspect. He's expected to face several charges.

"Further police investigations have revealed that there are five other suspects involved in this matter and three of them have been traced and arrested in Tafelkop and Lucau, respectively".

The suspect communicated with police for a short time before surrendering himself to police.

According to a Chattanooga Police Department spokesperson, the suspect is reportedly inside a residence in the 500 block of North Hawthorne Street.

During the chase, 3 crashes happened, one involving a civilian.
